Are they going to ban people from buying gasoline-powered cars in neighboring states? I hope the New York state GOP can use stupid stuff like this to regain competitiveness.

Great, people will go across state lines to buy them. Kind of like making a beer run to Idaho back in the day.

Or go across state lines … and not come back.

Or go across state lines … and not come back. That would be my first choice.

Evidently. That is what we did in Illinois for decades when they raised the taxes on gas...we just took a drive across the river and filled up in Missouri. Then due to the difference in sales taxes on other things, we shopped there, too.

They should ban all gas powered vehicles from entering NY state to prove how very progressive they are. There won’t be any trucks to deliver food, but they can virtue signal like nobody’s business.

At least NYC is supposed to be underwater by then, right?

Well, this should be interesting.

For the adventurous type they could hunker down, wait for the collapse and the seize what they want.

Legislation? So this bill passed the state legislature?
New Yorkers should not be allowed to move out of state. Let them ALL rot in the cesspool they created.

Wouldn’t it be more straightforward to just eliminate all ‘Rats in NYS in pursuit of CO2 reductions?

I thought AOC already declared that the world will be dead from climate change by then?

If people cross state line to buy gas-powered cars, the next step will be the banning of gas stations.
