While true, I’m convinced that Trump was given a short list of names for the major posts by the RINOs, who could easily sink any nominee, easily, and he was stuck with that.
Also note that Trump was NEVER allowed to make a recess appointment...which should tell you how much the Republicans respected his wishes.
