From what I have read, at first the Chinese officials didn’t realize what they were dealing with. They thought people had the regular flu.
And then the Chinese New Year came around, lots of folks in Western Canada and the States went to visit their families, many who lived in Wuhan. They brought it back to North America when they returned home. At least that’s what I believe.
And yes, guns do equal freedom. Too bad the Aussies didn’t learn that in time.
Don’t forget that shoe factory in Italy, right in ski country. Chinese workers returned from Chinese New Year and the jet-set ski season was in full swing. Sure enough, Vail, Colorado became a hot spot. Just one of the many vectors. But PDJT was xenophobic for trying to stop inbound air traffic /spit

That last part is very true. The Aussies have lost their freedom.
On the other, my neighbor is from China and I remember him telling me about it mid January. He was calling it a bad SARS but worse. He said his daughter who is also in the U.S. is on social media sites in China a lot. She learned of it there, then told him.
