Stolen Biden will fight this!
As long as it doesn't cross federal land there isn't a lot he can do.
Land doesn’t belong to the Federal Government, he has no standing.
Democrats will pass a bill prohibiting operating heavy machinery within a mile of the border. Another of their “brilliant workarounds”.
Not necessarily. Think about requirements for environmental impact reports and endangered species. The left will judge shop and find a judge to stop it. It could take years.
Isn’t this kinda like closing the barn door after the horses get out?
Once it’s completed, they need to continue along the western border.
Biden gonna drone it - but his ‘army’ will miss the target.
Injunction by some left-wing federal judge in 5...4...3
Wouldn’t land mines be cheaper?
Reminds me of an old joke. Two businessmen were flying cross country. After listening to many statements by the first businessman about how great is Texas, how Texas has the largest, the biggest, of everything, the second businessman tells the Texan that he is from Kentucky and in Fort Knox Kentucky, there is the largest deposit of gold in the country. The Kentucky businessman goes on to say that there is enough gold in Fort Knox to build a wall eight feet high, two feet thick, around the entire state of Texas. The Texan, replies that Kentucky should build that wall and if Texas likes it, they’ll buy it.
Some (fed) judge will halt it.
I bet something like “this is an outrage! Millions of future new Americans would be disenfranchised by such a hateful and racist waste
use of public funds that could much better be used for welfare payments, housing and healthcare for them. Oh and where are your masks!”
Trump may have taken care of that before he started the wall.
Even if they did, it will get overturned on appeal quickly.
Actually that land belongs to the land owners. From the Rio Grande to The Pacific there’s a 60 ft right away which is owned by the Federal Government. From the Rio Grande to the Gulf of Mexico there is no right away, most is private land to the water. There’s where the problem will be, the land owner won’t give up their water access and give Mexico the river.
This is a serious effort.
The Rio Grande Valley and Laredo Sectors are going to require the Federal effort to button up, but this State of Texas effort is scaled to make a significant impact.
In a few years, they could be channeling the flow through smaller gaps, where resources could be focused. Just clearing fields of observation and running access road, with a minimal barrier, is going to dramatically enable technology to to greatly improve operational control. Barrier is just a delay.
I hope you’re right, but you have greater faith in the courts than I do.
There are hundreds of million horses waiting at the barn door..
