During his speech at the 9/11 memorial service for Flight 93 in Pennsylvania, Bush said, “There is little cultural overlap between violent extremists abroad and violent extremists at home. Then there is disdainful pluralism in their disdain for human life. In their determination to defile national symbols they are children of the same foul spirit and it is our continuing duty to confront them.” …
This is deliberately ambiguous. The media claims he is definitely speaking about January 6, but it could actually be applied to the BLM/Antifa rioters.

What seems to make the distinction for me is who Bush vocally vilifies in public, and I do not recall him being particularly vocal against BLM/Antifa but very much down on Trump supporters (who were not particularly involved in January 6, but BLM/Antifa were themselves).

Wonder who wrote this for him.

It took a team of Beltway political advisors to craft the ambiguity in that message. Only they think ambiguity wins votes !
