I design the electrical distribution system via Microstation or AutoCAD.
We order all the materials, schedule all the resources, write the clearances, coordinate the fusing, size the transformers and the primary and secondary wire, install reclosers, etc.
It’s a nice combination of inside/outside and technical/project management.
Our work is endless.
I believe my Fortran friend works at the distribution level, calculating costs of selling and purchasing power across systems.
