CBS42 (Alabama) reports: CDC data indicates Moderna vaccine more effective against delta variant of COVID-19 than Pfizer, J&J. In a weekly report on morbidity and mortality in the US, data shows that the Moderna vaccine effectiveness has a rate of 95% when it comes to hospitalizations due to the delta variant, while Pfizer sits at 80% and Johnson & Johnson at 60%. The effectiveness rate for Moderna against urgent care and emergency room visits sits at 92%. Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson have rates of 77% and 65%, respectively.

Henry McMaster promised to “fight them to the gates of hell to protect the liberty and livelihood of every South Carolinian.”... Republican-dominated Montana stands alone in having a state law on the books that directly contradicts the new federal mandate. The state passed a law earlier this year making it illegal for private employers to require vaccines as a condition for employment.... Given that the rules are still being drafted and haven’t been released, experts say the devil is in the details. It remains to be seen exactly what the rule will require employers to do or not do, and how it accounts for things such as other rights that unvaccinated employees may assert, such as the right to a disability accommodation.

ABC News reports: AstraZeneca vaccine creator: Many may not need booster shots. Oxford University Professor Sarah Gilbert told The Telegraph newspaper that immunity from the vaccine was holding up well — even against the delta variant. While the elderly and those who are immune-compromised may need boosters, the standard two-dose regimen is providing lasting protection for most people, she said.

The Guardian (UK) reports: Thailand plans to reopen Bangkok to fully vaccinated tourists in October, officials have said, despite surging Delta cases in the country. Tourists visiting the five provinces –including Chiang Mai, Chon Buri, Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan – will have to stay within a certain area for seven days after arrival and take Covid tests.

Also: Nine in ten local areas in the UK have seen a week-on-week rise in Covid-19 case rates. Out of 377 areas, 345 (92%) have seen a week-on-week rise, 31 (8%) have seen a fall and one is unchanged. The highest rates are all in Scotland, where schools have been open since mid-August.

Also: Russia on Friday reported 18,341 new coronavirus cases and 789 deaths, according to the national coronavirus information centre, taking its total to 7,102,625 cases and 191,165 deaths.

Also: BioNTech will request approval to use its Covid-19 vaccine in five- to 11-year-olds (in the UK) within the next few weeks, the firm’s two top executives have said.

One thought, we added 11 million in the last month (months ago we were getting that many in a single week); we seem to have a way to go before we get down to only those who refuse absolutely to get vaccinated. How high will we go?

It seems that second shots have stayed about 25-30 million behind first shots for a few months, even though we are moving the totals up by about 10 million per month.

If everybody was with the program, you’d think that second shots would be one month’s worth behind.

I guess there is some number who get the first, but are then late, or fail, to get the second.

The single shot J&J might also account for about 15 Million of the difference.

When it comes to the Afghan refugees coming in now, I saw reports that they were giving them J&J shots, but it was unclear if it was everyone, or just those who opted for it. They also now have four reported cases of measles (highly infectious), that have two of their facilities quarantined. Afghanistan in general is rife with communicable diseases. No doubt they have a high load of TB as well.

62% of all reports of adverse events in the CDC's  VAERS (Vaccine Adeverse Event System) database belong to Covid 'vaccines'. VAERS had been in use for 30 years and already the Covid 'vaccines' account for 3 out of every 5 records in it.

45% of all deaths reported to the CDC's VAERS, following vaccination, are for Covid 'vaccines.

Normally, a vaccine with reports like the Covid vaccines would have been pulled off the market in February. But, the CDC has created an algorithm that makes it mathmatically impossible for the number of deaths reported following Covid 'vaccinations' to ever excede their 'threshold'.

I note that in the past 30 days we added 11 million, the 30 days before that we added only 7 million. This must be due to the increasing wave of infections motivating more to get vaccinated.

I personally have a great deal of respect and affection for Afghans (having served there) - but diseases are off the hook over there. Realistically, they should all be quarantined and given the whole kitchen sink of vaccinations and antibiotics - probably a good deworming as well - before being released/resettled.

At least in my region, there have been a lot of PCP’s and other health care workers becoming more active in trying to persuade their patients, and citizens in general, to get vaccinated, unless there is a contra-indication such as a past allergic reaction.
