A specialty facility has to do genetic sequencing to determine the variant. This is more of a scientific procedure than a lab test.

So should I assume that most people who have COVID, get tested at a medical facility, it is being done w/the PCR test that just shows “COVID” (or maybe the flu) but not specifically the Delta variant? If so, how do we know anything about this virus and what the real numbers of cases are or with what variant? And why didn’t they pull the faulty PCR test already instead of waiting until December 2021 (Is it to show that they got the “numbers” down w/mandates?)??? I think they are just making it up
