A Open Letter to Dr. Anthony Fauci,
Larry Kramer, San Francisco Examiner, June 26, 1988.

The rise and fall of AZT: It was the drug that had to work.
It brought hope to people with HIV and Aids, and millions for the company that developed it. It had to work. There was nothing else. But for many who used AZT - it didn't

AIDS and the AZT Scandal: SPIN’s 1989 Feature, ‘Sins of Omission’
The story of AZT, one of the most toxic, expensive, and controversial drugs in the history of medicine

As it turned out, the NIH support of AZT (Zidovudine, brand name Retrovir), was approved based on questionable research by the companies that made it, with little NIH oversight, made pharmaceutical companies rich, did not work as expected, had major side effects, like wearing off in a few months and making people sicker, drowned out all research and therapies for a while, that the AIDS/HIV was begging the NIH to move forward on and conduct proper research, while the NIH stalled until they had to move forward.

Does this sound familiar to current events?

This little propagandist is a pure menace to our entire society. A sensible, just society would have put him in prison by now, or at the very least locked him away in some isolation area to ensure he can never show his face on television again. Instead he will continue to spread his false, constantly-conflicting propaganda and not be able to explain why he has been wrong about literally everything about this virus for 15 solid months now.
