By now *everyone* should realize that laws only apply to the hoi polloi. The Deep Staters are untouchable by any law. It is true that we now live under tyranny. No, I'm not some nut spouting off on the Internet. It's sad to say, but true. There is law enforcement for you and me, and there is another law enforcement for the politicians and their privileged allies.
