Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas on Tuesday signed a sweeping bill overhauling the state’s elections, capping a dramatic, monthslong national saga over voting rights with a new Republican-led law that will sharply restrict voting across the nation’s second-biggest state.
Appearing in deeply red Tyler in East Texas, Abbott proclaimed the law a “paradigm” for other states looking to pass election bills. He declared that it would be “harder to cheat at the ballot box” and claimed that the law would “make it easier than ever before for anybody to go cast a ballot,” referring, in part, to provisions that add an extra hour to early voting on weekdays.

Ballot initiative process should be stopped in all states as well. They just override legislatures’ bicameral protections of less populated regions against the whims of deeeegenerate cities.
Did this bill completely and totally prohibit Mail In Voting and Drop Boxes?
If not, it does relatively nothing.
Next year, since Fauci, et al seem to be running through the alphabet there will be the Tango, Uniform, or Victor variant of covid. Possibly even the X-Ray, Yankee or Zulu variant. By then, it will be so deadly that people won’t be able to leave their homes because seeing a stranger in the grocery store will be lethal.
So, of course, Mail In Voting for all.
Children? Nah, they act more like assholes. Nothing gets their panties in a twist when it comes to abortion, which Abbott also signed to save the unborn.
If America’s press wasn’t so fundamentally corrupt and stupid, the headline would be “voting rights” or “vote protection” bill.
The majority of Texans actually support the bill. It is all of the Commie Dem A-holes from Commifornia or New USSRYork along with the rest of the Dems who moved here from blue states that are pissed.
The law makes it so that local officials can’t break election law with impunity and makes it so that ballot counters can’t cheat as poll watchers can’t be kicked out of ballot counting centers.
Good start but tighten it up far more and in far more states.
Yeah, it was a challenge to find a less ridiculous article and headline, even from sources that should have known better. Just went with this one rather than keep searching.
Our country is in bad need of revival on so many fronts, quality news reporting being one glaring example.
