I think you have him mixed up with someone else. Cawthorn spoke at the Trump nominating convention.
This post Jan. 6 episode is all Pelosi’s doing because she turned down a resquest twice to bring in more officers but she declined. Secondly, she wants to blame President Trump as a co conspiritor in the entire episode.

I wouldn’t go although it’s fairly close. However, I’ve thought about it and should any of the parents of the 13 who died in Afghanistan decide to go in the future, They may find me there supporting them. I have some health issues, so it’s difficult for me to go anywhere. That was why I didn’t go on 1/6. I had contemplated it for a while. I really wanted to go. But, realized I’d never be able to handle the walk. It was disappointing to come to that conclusion. I know quite a few who did go. None of them had any problems.
Don’t be surprised to find some of those 13 gold star parents front and center in the rally.

Remember, the same people who abandoned American’s and turned over an entire country to violent terrorist, a country complete with hundreds of billions in our tax paid weapons/equipment, have now kept these non-violent individuals in cages for about 9 months now.
The contrast should be enough to make people recoil in disgust.
Both situations really upset me and warrant attention. I’m not able to go on the date of the 1/6 prisoners. And since I can only handle one event, I’m holding out for the possibility of something else.
It’s time to stop allowing them to manipulate us by not demonstrating.

Now some facts.
For those who don't know or remember, in late January Cawthorn proclaimed Biden's legitimacy and stated the election was not fraudulent.
"Yes, I think I would say that the election was not fraudulent. You know, the Constitution allowed for us to be able to push back as much as we could and I did that to the amount of the constitutional limits that I had at my disposal. So now I would say that Joseph R. Biden is our president.""So when I contested to the election, that was within the constitutional guidelines that the framers had set up. But after I've done that and the electors and the delegates from each state elected Joe Biden as our president, I respect the office. He is my president, and I want to work with him to make sure that we can bring some meaningful change to the American people."
Since Biden's inauguration, Cawthorn has signed onto a letter along with 16 other GOP House freshmen, saying they look forward to working with Biden. Notably, Cawthorn is the youngest member of Congress in modern history, according to US House records, at just 25 years old.

Why did he acquiesce in this way? Note that about a week before this complete kowtow to Biden on CNN, the Democrats and Pelosi were threatening to kick him out of congress. Posted here at FR:

So we can see that at the first sign of trouble he rolled over and showed his belly to the democrats.
He is saying the right things today, but he has already shown to Pelosi and the Dems that when push comes to shove he will back down and toe the line.

I pointed out that Cawfield endorsed Biden as president you objected but now you yourself are defending and endorsing Biden as a legitimate President. So you are acknowledging what I said in post two was accurate. That’s good.

If Trump is the current President, why isn’t he in Washington performing the duties of President?
