Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., is "furious" over the Biden administration delaying flights with Americans trying to escape Afghanistan after President Biden’s botched troop withdrawal.
The senator from Connecticut issued a press release on Monday eviscerating the Biden administration for delaying flights out of the Mazar-e Sharif airport in Afghanistan following reports of the administration not giving the evacuation flights the green light.

What’s funny is that Glenn Beck, whose organization is one of the many organizations rescuing people, has been telling everyone for at least a week that the State Department was blocking flights. Snopes had to do one of their “fact checks” and find it false.
Now, all of a sudden, Stolen Valor Blumenthal says it and it’s gospel truth.
Once all Americans and allies are safely evacuated, somebody should investigate the media’s role in all this.

Blumenthal is the stolen valor senator who lied about serving in Vietnam. Even left-leaning Snopes says he did it --
During his successful 2010 U.S. Senate campaign, Blumenthal said that he had “misspoken” about his military service during the Vietnam War after the New York Times obtained his Selective Service Record, which showed he received five separate draft deferments while a college student and then, when those deferments ran out, secured a spot in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves (serving stateside, not in Vietnam).

If I calculated right, he is up for re-election in 2022. So, indeed, this is all for show. He does not give a SH*T about Americans in Afghanistan. He wants to retain power (and the cash that comes with that power).
