This is his interview, he was talking a day after it happened as to whether or not the planes took out the beams. His bomb remark was at that time he thought there might have been bombs on board the plane that detonated when they hit as to allow it to go into the building through the beams.

Trump never said they did, but he posed the question. He also mentioned that the Towers withstood the 1993 bombing from it's foundation, and the foundation is the most vulnerable part of the building.

If the Towers can withstand a bomb directly at its base, then how can planes themselves bring them both down?
