The California government is hoping they can flout the law and the church will turn the other cheek.

I rather imagine that there are some extremely radical marxist/communists/atheist’s on Santa Clara County’s Commissioners Court.
For flipping the bird at the US Supreme Court, the court of jurisdiction could and should award sanctions (attorney’s fees) to the church.

Santa Clara County is San Jose & Silicon Valley. Named for saints, it is now completely decadent just like San Francisco and Los Angeles. The whole country sent its human refuse there and now it’s a godless garbage dump. Even the courts are blatantly evil, and there is zero tolerance for others from the satanic Left.
Unless all churches, including left wing ones, are treated the same, ie as a business, wouldn’t this be an illegal bill of attainder?
These tyrants love their newly found / long desired & planned for : power.
Crushing mom & pop restaurants and middle class workers is their idea of fun.. they will never willing give it up.
The rule of law is gone.

.......in my layman’s opinion, Santa Clary County officials will likely be ordered by a Federal Judge to show up in his/her courtroom and show cause WHY they shouldn’t be held in contempt and possibly jailed. I was jailed 2 days once for failing (intentionally) to turn over certain tax information. I later prevailed on appeal. The silly state judge took the position that I had to turn over certain tax documents but she did not.

..........lol, she was a woman and my X was the type that people feel sorry for. It was plain to see what was going on. All the lawyers on both sides agreed her initial ruling was silly. Then she doubled down with a jail sentence when I said “NO” again.
As I recall, my X Marine lawyer went to the Presiding Judge (also an X Marine) and got him involved and I was out in 2 days (one night).
