Thanks, SunkenCiv. I’d forgotten the name, Eric Hoffer, but he was one of my Dad’s favorites, and Dad taught me about him when I was a teenager, too immature to explore philosophic ideas.
It seems Hoffer wrote many aphorisms for the common working man and freedom lover — which makes his works easily digested.
Time was well spent reading from his Wikiquote page.
