More than 7 million out-of-work Americans are poised to lose all of their unemployment benefits this week as three federal programs put in place in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic expired on Monday.
In addition to the 7.5 million workers who face the loss of all unemployment benefits on Labor Day, another 3 million stand to lose the extra $300 boost to their state jobless aid, according to a recent report published by the left-leaning Century Foundation.

Those still taking benefits better get a job now while good job offers can be found.
The gravy train cometh and the gravy train derails. On labor day no less. Oh the irony...
Well then, tomorrow, they can start doing some labor.
How many of the small business jobs shut down because of the COVID lockdown orders have not come back (and may not come back)?
$455 a week to do nothing. That’s about $17 an hour 30 hours a week.
Yep washing dishes sounds so much better.

I’ve had the misfortune of a couple bouts of long term unemployment during actual recessions. I busted my butt to do anything to earn money. Sitting around on that same butt wasn’t an option.
Get a job.
Freeloaders who didn’t bother paying rent. Guess what? It’s all due today. Time for a first, second and third job.
Time to cut back on the bong usage
...and do some laboring.

During my work career I had a side hustle and sometimes 2 side hustles all the way.
Time to cut back on the bong usage ..and video games
...and do some laboring.
As my dear Mother always said, “you help people who can’t help themselves, not people who won’t help themselves”.
As true today as when she first told me that 60 years ago.
And I never got a single “Thank You Letter”.
