“We kept them occupied for 20 years and avoided major attacks on U.S. soil.”

Quite true and the actual benefit of all the personal sacrifices of those years, which were not for naught.

Much better to crusade against Islam over there.

No- they s**t themselves and ran, stopping only long enough to drop their rifles.

“The Army itself – the army and the police forces were a mirror image in many ways – and we created and developed forces that looked like Western forces,” Milley explained. “I think one of the big lessons learned here is maybe those forces were not designed appropriately for the type of mission.”

No sh!t, Sherlock. This was known years ago by most people paying attention. It’s not like they didn’t have Iraq 10 years ago for an example.

I read that almost the entire amount of the $750 billion spent in Afghanistan went to American interests: contractors, NGO’s, volunteer groups, etc. We spent 3/4 of $1 billion dollars on women’s studies classes or some such gender studies.

I used to think that the only jobs for grievance studies majors were as government bean counters or teaching required courses in colleges. I’ve since learned that they are jobs for running programs in places like Afghanistan.

Somewhere a 19 year old Lance Corporal will receive NJP this week for losing his bayonet, effectively ending his career.

Meanwhile, this turd will retire with a handsome pension.

Well ... at least we learned a lesson. I have absolutely no military training and I knew the Afghan Army could not hold without US air support and logistics backup.

Well put. That was basically the same point made by Lt. Col. Scheller. There’s accountability everywhere except at the top.

Very few have looked at the benefit side of the equation. Everybody is preoccupied with the cost.

This woke princess is doing his part to destroy the rank and file. Who, in their right mind, would counsel a brave, patriotic son or grandson to join and serve under leftist hacks like Miley? This traitor will make the service more appealing to the socially conscious activists wanting to help during a flood or scamdemic.

WTF. This guy is the epitome of the statement, “Better to remain silent and let people think you are stupid, than say something and remove all doubt.”

The watershed is when they broke the marines at Parris Island, admittedly under Trump.

Excerpts from Milley’s plan (ala General Sun Tzu’s Principles of War):

When on retreat:
1. Leave equipment behind for the enemy.
2. Provide the enemy with a list of names of those who have helped you.

For leading the war effort (for the Commander in Chief):
1. Cut and run.
2. Take a nap.
3. When you awake, tell everyone it was all a phenomenal success.
