The Chinese Communists don’t like having their oppressive regime called out for human rights abuses and they let U.S. climate envoy John Kerry know that in no uncertain terms.
...
The reason their solar panels are being sanctioned is that the Communists are engaging in unfair trading practices by deliberately selling the products at a loss to undercut the viability of the U.S. solar panel industry. The Chinese were also using slave labor to produce the panels.
It’s harder to sell those solar panels because the Chinese are cheating and got caught. Should we lift the restrictions because of human rights abuses in the name of fighting climate change?
Sheesh.
...
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi wants the U.S. to shut up about things that don’t concern it.
...
You have to love it when China plays the obtuse, mysterious Oriental sage teaching the rest of the world how to behave.
...
China will cooperate only as much as is absolutely needed to fulfill the Communist Party’s goals and objectives and no more. It’s not surprising that someone like John Kerry would be snookered by Beijing’s threats. He’s been playing the Communist’s fool for more than 40 years.
The rest of us should have learned our lesson by now.

No ticky no raundry!
Kerry and Biden will capitulate and shut up about Human Rights Abuses, while China will make fraudulent promises about carbon emissions.....
Hard not to root for China on this one.
JF’K didn’t perform any Wind-Surfing Diplomacy?
I’m sure John F. does not need to tell that to Joe. Hunter will be reminder enough.
JF’n....
Efff China and That panda Pooh bear. We must now confiscate all the property they bought here as reparations for poisoning us with Covid, which was an act of war
No, but he tried to throw his solar panel over a fence.
John Kerry = TRAITOR
“... his solar panel...”
He didn’t just borrow one?
Largest user of coal in the world, by far.
Hear Hear, Vaquero! Well said!
“Largest user of coal in the world, by far.”
1. China 50.5 %
2. India 11.3 %
3. United States 8.5 %
4. Germany 3.0 %
Indeed.
I’ve read that the ChiComs are transitioning to electric cars mostly powered by coal plants to conserve petroleum for their military.
Probably.
The miracle is how he managed to pin it to his chest.
Fascinating. Where did you read that? Got links? It could prove useful for future debates.
And the outcome? We’ll agree to that and the Butchers of Beijing will proceed as usual.
It was never about “climate change.” It was always about CONTROL.
Does anybody still think that the CCP will abide by any agreement they make, be it on trade, climate change or human rights?
HINT: Look what they just did to Hongkong after a mere 20 years after they agreed in 1997 to keep their system intact for 50 years...
John Kerry is a naive dolt if he still trusts the CCP to abide by anything.
