A Taliban spokesperson insisted to Fox News on Friday that "there will be no issue about women’s rights" following the militant group’s takeover of Afghanistan, despite widespread international concerns. But Suhail Shaheen also said he opposes Western views that "women should have an education without [a] hijab."
"That is a change of culture," he said. "Our culture...they can receive education with hijab. They can work with hijab."
When asked about future relations with the U.S., Shaheen said, "We should be focusing how can we work together in a positive and constructive way which is in the best of interest of both sides. ... There will be no issue about the women’s rights. No problem about their education, their work," he added. "But we should not be after changing each other’s culture as we are not intending to change your culture, you should not be changing our culture."

I’d like somewhere in between ours and theirs.
Not a problem. American women, feminists, and politicians won’t say a damn thing about it.
“But we should not be after changing each other’s culture as we are not intending to change your culture, you should not be changing our culture.”
And there in a nutshell lies the failure of American diplomacy and foreign affairs many years.
Gosh, Do you think the Taliban will order any LGBTQI flags from us for June Pride Month?
The religion of peace.....
Don’t tug on the tiger’s tail, Taliban. Don’t make Joe send a platoon of transexuals over there to teach you a lesson.
perhaps they want Biden to take a child bride?

A righteous cause for the "handmaid" protestors
to buy tickets to afghanistan.
The talibannies will hear them roar.
Interesting moral dilemma, especially for the fake feminists. I say “fake” ‘cause like how the BLM couldn’t care less about blacks, fems care only about political power. Orrrrrr, they’d have been all over any country that treated women like Islam/Sharia do.
How is their treatment so very far from how slaves were treated in any country in 19th century?
Both were sold. Couldn’t vote. Told to shut up on anything. Children belonged to “husband/owner”. Etc.
Oh, I get it. Slavery is alive and well in first world countries now. See how illegals are used as sex slaves. Right. The elites want their modern-day slaves, so fems are told to shut up and stay in their assigned area.
Islam is right about women... diversity says so
HUH? No pussyhat marches down at the Afghan embassy?
Butt, butt, butt what about the “progress” that we were constantly reminded of for 20 years in A-stan? What happened to that?
My Christian ancestors died for our culture separated from England and Spain, and all their American progeny have done so ever since. Traitors have tried to rob us of it from without or within.
Send the Afghans back to their origins to die for their religion and landscape, not to take ours and make it theirs, Joe.
SMDH! I saw some of these assclowns on some news thing the other day in front of the supreme court. Really? No, REALLY? Have these fidiots ever looked in a mirror? Then again, they’re probably not good at, or for, anything. If they REALLY cared they’d to the ultimate. But, noooooooo.
“Islam is right about women.”
In some ways yes. In this country, our entire political shifted shifted Left because of them - even Reagan had to promise to put a woman on the Supreme Court, thereby ending Bork’s chances when he was clearly the right person then, and would have been confirmed (as Reagan had a Republican majority in the Senate, then).
It’s THEIR country. Deal with it. Better yet let them deal with it. We’re done. Cuba on the other hand.
This is on those that voted for Biden anyway, which is the majority of them.
To those of you who didn't, thanks for voting with your "lady smarts" instead of your lady parts.
As long as they don’t launch any terrorist attacks outside of Afghanistan, it’s not my circus, not my monkeys.
That was basically Trump’s deal. Keep your crap inside of Afghanistan, and we’ll leave you alone, step out of line, and it’s bombs away.
