For a year and a half, protesters on both the left and the right have targeted public officials at their homes in Los Angeles, demonstrating at all hours to express their grievances over mask mandates, rent forgiveness and other issues.

Now, the City Council is seeking to tighten the rules around such protests. The council, on a 13-1 vote, ordered city attorneys on Tuesday to draft a law that would bar protesters from coming within 300 feet of a target’s home.

If they ban ANTIFA, #BLM and the assorted leftists from doing the same, it is OK with me.

But of course they won’t enforce it against the leftists.

Both doxxing and harassing private residencies is BS.

And any tyrannical jackass that deserves it will be fenced and guarded.

This is a good decision providing it’s uniform.

Remember, the FBI had plenty of chances to arrest David Koresh in public, but it decided to attack the residency.

When it hits home for the rich and the politicians, they want something done.
Go figure. What a bunch of idiots trying to ward off the beasts that they created. When it only involved ordinary Americans, they thought it was great.
What a bunch of hypocrites.

Not going to work if protestors are on PUBLIC property, courts will overturn. Trouble is leftist protestors are allowed onto private property. They should try to enforce the laws about trespassing, blocking sidewalks, blocking traffic, that are already on the books, but a ban on protests taking place on public property aren’t going to stand.

When Antifa realizes they’ve been duped. meaning enough die from the injections. That is when things will get interesting when the left lose their brownshirts.

Far Leftist Sheila Kuehl, who sits on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, had protestors outside her Santa Monica home last year:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/protesters-gather-at-home-of-supervisor-who-ate-out-after-voting-to-ban-outdoor-dining/ar-BB1bxuK7

... a handful of people gathered outside Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl's house in Santa Monica. ...

Tuesday's protest at Kuehl's home comes on the heels of news that she dined out at a Santa Monica restaurant last Tuesday, hours after she voted to uphold a ban on outdoor dining in the county. Kuehl did not violate any county rules because outdoor dining was still permitted at the time.

Kuehl confirmed that she did dine al fresco at Il Forno Trattoria near her house in Santa Monica on the day she and two other county supervisors voted to shut down outdoor dining.

"She loves Il Forno, has been saddened to see it, like so many restaurants, suffer from a decline in revenue," Kuehl's communications director, Barbara Osborn, said in a statement.

According to the statement, Kuehl took appropriate precautions while dining on the last day permissible, "and sadly will not dine there again until our public health orders permit." ...

I assume Kuehl was fine with Antifa and BLM targeting others, but when her home was targeted by anti-lockdown protestors, she suddenly saw a need to limit protests.

I realize she's an L.A. County official, not L.A. city. But I wouldn't be surprised if the County follows the city's example.

“Both doxxing and harassing private residencies is BS.”

No, it isn’t.

“This is a good decision providing it’s uniform.”

It won’t be. It never is.
