President Biden pressured Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani to create the “perception” that the Taliban weren’t winning, “whether it’s true or not,” in a phone just three weeks before the insurgents seized control of the country, a bombshell leaked transcript shows.
Biden and Ghani spoke for roughly 14 minutes on July 23 in what would be their final call before the Taliban overran the government and Afghanistan descended into bloody chaos amid the botched US withdrawal, according to a transcript and audio obtained by Reuters.
Much of the call was focused on what Biden referred to as the Afghan government’s “perception” issue.
“I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, is that things are not going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban,” Biden said.
“And there is a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture.”

A “perfect phone call”....NOT!
Of course if this were Trump, he would have already been Impeached and Convicted.
Trump released the transcript, let's demand Biden do the same.
Since we set the standard that we now impeach presidents over phone calls and implied pressures placed on leaders of other countries to take certain actions, certainly Joe Biden is now on the fast track to impeachment.
He’s not? I didn’t get the memo, apparently.
Perception is all that matters to liars who have the Ministry of Propaganda at their back.
Hey, “leaders,” since you like to impeach for phone calls, try this one on for size.
Was Biden withholding something for leverage, checking his watch again, blackmailing again, during this conversation?
Probably told him he'd hold up money if he didn't do what he demanded, sounds like this is a perfect call for evidence for impeachment.
Biden should be impeached for his thoughts.
Where are the thought police?
That explains the 147 million he absconded with.
So how were people there supposed to know that the government was collapsing when both Biden and the Afghan government said all was ‘just fine’?
And, if the MSM covers this story AT ALL, it will be solely to decry the illegality of leaking the content of the call. Much like the diplomatic cables that Wikileaks leaked.
How is that not impeachable? No wonder the guy took off in a helicopter full of cash!
