A lot of correctly educated public school kids grew up and saw the political world as the evil machine we've come to call the swamp, they (we) called "the establishment"
We were "the angry young man" and not Millenials.
And a lot of returning warriors came home and started a LOT of shit .... mostly good, but some was anti-government (VVAW, f'rinstance)
Our own beloved Jim Robinson came home and started FreeRepublic.
Anyway, 45 years later, the middle east became Viet Nam and we sent a lot of guys over there, but something is different.
This too (Afghanistan especially) is an effort of futility, but the modus operandi is a little different.
GI's go over for 7 months and return for a break and go back for another 7.
There is not as much dirty fighting/jungle fighting as in Nam and the returning warriors are not gathering in the streets or running for office.
Why DOESN'T a returning warrior take a look around and think WTF ? and organize some sort of response to the weird freedom grabbing shit the government is doing ?
WHY are returning warriors committing suicide instead of activating ?

VN was a war with draftees and the ME is all volunteer.
Draftees had a legitimate gripe for the way the military treated them, the ME can't say shit.
An all volunteer military must be trained and conditioned an entirely new way
The Sgt. Ermy's of my 1965 Army days may still talk like thast, but no longer have the man building clout they used to have.
The guys that were in VN got stoned, laid and drunk a lot ... not so now.
Volunteers are more easily controlled ...
Consider how easily we are losing our freedoms with the all volunteer maskers and fearful !

War and killing is a young man's game because of their physical ability to DO shit.

Why aren't you returning warriors on the border, or springing innocent civilians from nazi pelosi's gov't prison, or marching on Washington DC ?
