American forces have completely left Afghanistan and now the entire capital, including Kabul Airport, is controlled by the Taliban. In the last 20 years, America had tried to prepare a new generation through its education system in Afghanistan. For this purpose, the American University was established in the capital Kabul in which Western education was given.
There was a craze for this university among the students and students of Afghanistan. But now after leaving America, the students of this university and especially the girls are feeling threatened by themselves. A BBC journalist has claimed in a tweet that the Taliban have threatened to rape and kill American university students.
The BBC journalist wrote, ‘Students at the American University in Kabul say the Taliban know their names and home addresses. A student has received this message, in which it is written – You used to study in American University and used to work for the government. Wait a bit, we will deal with you.’ In another message it has been told to this girl – we will rape you and kill you.
The girls Dainik Bhaskar spoke to in Kabul and other parts of Afghanistan are living in hiding and are very scared. A student of the same American University told Bhaskar, ‘I don’t know how I am feeling. I got engaged in August only. I am not even talking to my fiancé. What shall I say, what shall I explain? I am scared that if I realize what is happening then I will go crazy.
Another student, who was hiding in a part of Kabul, said, ‘I am not even looking out of my window. If the Taliban see me, they will take me away. They can target educated girls…

they all need to break into small groups, and move at night towards the nearest border, probably peiwar pass. about 80 miles as the crow flies, 210 km if following the road which apparently runs through a valley approach.
I would think that the sooner they start, the better off they will be, so as to give the taliban the least opportunity to consolidate their positions and organize along the escape route(s).
whoever delayed their escape to the airport in advance of the taliban was imho out of his or her mind. the president of the university got out. there is probably a story there somehow. it would be interesting to learn why the president got out but his students did not get out.
