Can someone please explain to me why we left ANOTHER military asset on the ground for the Taliban to control? Unless it isn’t flyable, why was t another aircrew brought into get it out. If it isn’t flyable, why wasn’t it destroyed?
During his speech yesterday, Gen. McKenzie listed the vehicles/planes left behind, and said that they were made inoperable and would never fly/drive again. (never is a long time) They did the same with the civilian planes there, though he noted that those were in poor condition already.
Wonder if they disabled the small arms and artillery?
I doubt they did what this general says.
There were explosions reported Fri/Sat that were 1st reported as a possible attack on the airport, but were clarified by Flynn or Taylor as being destruction of military equip. without specifying exactly what.
“I doubt they did what this general says.”
I thought it was so insignificant as to be almost laughable as he listed the various equipment that they made inoperable, because it was a drop in the bucket compared to what they’d already left behind weeks ago.
No offense, but this leadership team has little or no credibility. Unless they took a sawzall to the main spar, I’m sure they can cobble them together enough to fly them to Pakistan or turn them over to the Chinese.

Yes a democrat president is in control and it’s going to get a lot worse just wait until they get their spending bill passed.
Massive taxes inflation housing bust market stock market takes a hit............................................
Ain’t socialism grand Moe.
Taliban complaining the equipment is all damaged and sabotaged...LOL....And they have yet to begun to see what their country is going to dive into.
75% of their Gov. was financed by International Monies.....now gone. 40% and higher of GDP from “war’ profiting. Bank monies are frozen and or limited to $200 weekly withdrawal.
[And they have yet to begun to see what their country is going to dive into.]
I don’t think they care. Their system is optimized for the 7th Century. Anything more advanced would be a challenge their power.
However this plays out under the Taliban it won’t be good for anybody.
Hopefully they didn’t leave the keys in the ignitions.
