You certainly won’t hear that from Dementia Joes regime.
Our warriors carry some of those genes.
If only.
At least we don’t have to worry about any american citizens trying to get pay back,,,
Cowardice as a national trait is no longer restricted to the French...

After every casket passed by.
Perhaps his watch was communicating with him....stand straight, look sad, fold hands, turn left....
Not sure about this story.
10 of the KIA were 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

Look into the MEU (Marine Expeditionary Unit) system.
Rifle battalions get assigned to temporary duty on MEUs. The MEUs are permanent, the personnel are temporary, except for the ship crews and senior leadership.
There have been several battalions rotated through the 24th MEU in Afghanistan, iirc. The MEU number is often used to identify the units, or it’ll be their permanent battalion/regiment “... as part of... “ the MEU. I don’t remember if other MEU have also deployed the Afghanistan or not. I think there was at one point a MEB (Marine Expeditionary Brigade) there but not sure.
For those not familiar with the MEU system, here’s a fun watch. A multi-part vid series of shorts that show a MEU “spinning up” to go through an exercise that puts a company of infantry ashore to do a raid.

This is the wiki on MEU.

I served with the 2/4 Marines, on the Bonhomme Richard, 2009-2010, as the Battalion Landing Team for the 11th MEU.
In July 2010, I stayed with the Battalion, Casualty Assistance, while Echo and Fox Company deployed to Afghanistan engaging in combat operations in Marjah and Sangin.
2/1 was not attached to the 24th MEU. Thank you for the links.
