That’s just great. Housing prices are higher than ever. Construction costs through the roof. A million Americans are facing eviction in the coming months.

I love that America is a refuge for people seeking a better life for themselves. But we have more homeless Americans than there are Afghan evacuees and we don’t do a damn thing about that.

Local Lawmakers Asking NJ Homeland Department to Ensure Refugees Coming to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Are Thoroughly Vetted

TRENTON, NJ — With the arrival of Afghan evacuees to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, Gov. Phil Murphy has created the Task Force on Afghan Refugee Assistance, to be led by state Adjutant, Brigadier General Lisa J. Hou, D.O. Hou is the Adjutant General and Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.

The Belmar resident — an Army veteran who served in Afghanistan and Iraq as a field surgeon — will oversee efforts to “welcome refugees and their families to their new lives in the United States and New Jersey,” Murphy said in an August 27 press release. “I have full trust and confidence in the adjutant general to lead this task force in coordinating our response to the ongoing arrival of refugees to our state.”

Yup—just think how many federal, state, local and corporate employees are tasked with “anti-terrorism”.

Without terrorists they are out of jobs!

The U.S. State Department also is giving the Afghan refugees who have received special immigrant visas to choice to be resettled in one of more than a dozen communities, including Elizabeth, Highland Park and possibly other places in North Jersey.

Where will they resettle them? Apartments, homes, private rentals? Are there 9500 empty domiciles in NJ just waiting to take these people in?

Will they sprinkle them in rich communities like Franklin Lakes or the poorest like Camden or Newark.

And who will be footing the bill?
