I don’t think we should organise a society around the sensibilities of the most easily upset people because then you have a very neurotic society... Amen !!!

good we need to bring out real comedy big guns to fight this crap. Chevy Chase and John Clease will do just fine.

Not too long ago I heard Cleese being quoted, when speaking about immigration in Britain,as aving said something like “I cannot recognize London as being a British city today”.
If he actually said anything like that that would suggest that he's not just another showbiz Maoist.

John Cleese has become grouchy and ready to argue as he ages, but he still wishes to entertain once in a while.
John is going to be one of those very old people with all their mental faculties along with a performer’s drive to hold an audience. Go for the gusto, John!
I hope I’ve still got it together at that age
John C. will turn 81 y/o on Oct. 27th.
just one day after Hillary Clinton turns 74.
Hillary is not a comedian.

Cleese has been VERY vocal about the dangers of “political correctness.”

Cleese is rare in that he’s a liberal who is willing to speak up about liberal excesses. Plus he knows that if this wokeness continues, eventually all silly walks will be outlawed.

John has wisdom at his age. Wisdom is smart plus common sense.

An insightful 4Chan (they do exist) on John Cleese's comments about how London has changed.

Lumberjack? That was Michael Palin, the cheese-less cheese shop owner and pet store proprietor of stiffened Norwegian Blue Parrots pining for the fjords.

Sometimes Cancel Culture has a bright side. Dua Lipa put out a song named “Levitating”. But then she put out a second version of the song, featuring DaBaby. That version totally sucked, and it was played nine out of 10 times. Then word leaked out about DaBaby having made some “homophobic” remarks in the past. Now the version of the song featuring him is only played one out of 10 times, which is great, as it really really sucks. DaBaby also was kicked out of Lallopalooza and other events.

You’ve done a great job of finding and sharing links to treasures like “Story of a Patriot” and “Song of the South”...hope you can find and share one for this series once it appears across the pond.

Cancel culture isn’t about the most easily upset. It’s about the groups that the high income progressives who run everything are favoring.
