The Far Right is not for "no government at all" which would be anarchy. The Far Right is more in favor of an ordered society, i.e. one which is guided by law and social/religious pressure to conform to basic morality.

When the terms "right" and "left" were first used to identify political parties, the left was in favor of democracy and the right was in favor of retaining the monarchies.

The Far Right is not in favor of totalitarianism, but something more akin to authoritarianism. You could still be different, but only in the privacy of your own home. If the Taliban followed Islamic law they would be authoritarian. To the extent they force everyone to become Muslim (if they do so) then that would be totalitarian. This seems to be where China is headed as all dissent, even in private, is being attacked by Chairman Xi.

Libertarianism and even conservatism are actually watered-down versions of liberalism. They both are willing to swallow some, but not all of the liberal/progressive agenda. They somehow thought that once Western Culture got a whiff of freedom from legal and moral authorities that it would stop at some reasonable compromise between openness and all out chaos. But the clown car didn't stop at some reasonable point like where it was in the 50's. It kept trundling along and is now headed for the same cliff that all empires have taken a nosedive from.

I disagree with you. Like those who label Fascists as being ‘right-wingers’, you limit your view of the political spectrum to that which you are comfortable (e.g. communism, fascism, democracy, monarchy, etc.)

Those who insist on a strong central government today would consider Fascists to be ‘right-wingers’, but those, like Thomas Jefferson, who prefer to distribute the power to local control (i.e. True Democracy) would disagree with that assessment.

On the full-political spectrum, “Right-Wing” = “Anarchy”. Few people would opt for anarchy so we agree that we need some form of government. In that sense, few people could be considered ‘Right-Wingers”.

The leftists love labels, and we should refuse to play that game because doing so lets them make the rules. Thus, they can call anybody a ‘bigot’, and conservatives cower in fear. They can call anybody ‘right-wing’, and conservatives go hide in a corner.

We need to remember what the spectrum truly is so we will be strong in our faith and proudly deflect any such labels.
