They say that democracy is a really bad way to run a society, but it is better than all the rest.

So they say. But how does a republic sound to you? That's the form of government we began with. We eventually lost it to become a "democracy." Or whatever it is we are now.

Exactly. Cultural norms are the glue that holds societies together. Without them, chaos and tribalism. We are on that path now.

This is an extremely troubling photo on many levels.

It's one of several photos of female Marines cuddling infants. Their beatific faces show the mothering instinct. But doesn't it give the lie to all the propaganda about women being as qualified as men to be in combat roles? Why do these ostensibly hard-assed women allow themselves to be photographed taking diaper duty while the men do the real stuff —processing terrorists disguised as goatherds so they can come to the U.S. to torture and kill men and rape women?

Also, what is the warrior in this photo supposed to do if an armed assailant approaches suddenly—toss the infant to the ground so she can fire her rifle?

I haven’t scrolled down yet... But do you have an age range of what you have in mind.??? I’m kinda seeing it in 20-24... My kiddos are 15 and 12... They are turning out pretty good despite public schools.... I do see that they are more like my friends than kids...as they get older... Very different than when I growed up. I’m 48. I guess we are close because... Hell I don’t know. I always try to get them to help me out so I can teach them.

Gimme a break. Representative democracy is democracy. A republic of democratic states is a democracy.

A true democracy will eventually become chaotic and will fall into the hands of a tyrant.

However, it appears that representative democracies and a republic of democratic states becomes decadent and falls into the hands of a faceless oligarchy, i.e. the Deep State.

Are we better off being led by people we don't know whose agenda is unclear?
