My pleasure. Again, thanks for asking me. I appreciate the dialogue.

Here’s something that popped in to my mind today. I would honestly like your opinion on it. It’s not medical, as such; I think it is important, though. With the over the top push to get everyone to take the Poke; do you think there is something hinkey behind it all? I mean in almost 2 decades of working in/around the medical profession, I’ve never seen anything like it. Truth be told, it’s so strange it scares me.

I think having reservations about anything is a reasonable thing. But here is my perspective.

Americans have always had an attitude of we can do things against incredible odds. We have the smartest and best scientists, physicians and institutions in the world. The Mayo Clinic, The Cleveland Clinic, Academic Medicine Universities in every state that are doing amazing research.

We won the space race after being so far behind, simply out of sheer grit and determination. We rallied behind our ingenuity, we believed in our spirit. The Manhattan project brought together the finest minds in the world (Oppenheimer, Einstein, Feymann to name a few) to build a theoretical bomb and it was accomplished swiftly and quickly.

We have sent men and women into space with nothing more than the attitude of whats see what we can do. We have built amazing machines, the stealth bomber, the space shuttle. Its mind boggling what we have done, and what we have done quickly.

So we come to CoVID. Because it makes us address our own mortality, we are looking at it from a different perspective. I believe that the majority of the true conspiracy theories are borne out of fear that is masquerading as a fight for what is right. But here is my inescapable conclusion, the bench scientists, the researchers that have been developing these technological platforms have been researching them for a decade already. It is not as if this what thought and created on day 3 of the pandemic.

The problem is that this is politicized. We are no longer able to find the middle ground. Tip Oneil and Ronald Regan believed that they occupied 80% of the same space and where they disagreed they were quite opposite. So they worked on where they had common ground, and did not make enemies out of each other.

Today its you are either with us 100% or against us 100%. If you disagree with someone — you are to be destroyed, and your ideas declared unworthy. That is what scares me about this pandemic. The increasing polarization and we even see it here. Hell, I have been guilty of it, too.

So I have tried to find common ground. Freeper Robert DeLong and I disagree, but were able to come to common ground. You and I seem to be foraging an honest discourse. While I think these vaccines are truly life saving, I also understand the fear of loss of freedom. I am nearly a complete libertarian. I do NOT believe that under any circumstance that any treatment be mandated. People are free to make whatever decisions they want. But it is equally as frustrating when I report what I see to be called in succession — a fraud, a liar, a FRocter (one of my favorites), and threatened to be doxxed. You can see what Sheep Whisperer has erroneously said an threatened, and bafflingly to me — it is tolerated!

So, yes, we have morons among us. Smug, narcissistic people who have no foundational idea of what they are saying except to dictate and gain power (yeah, Fauci, I am looking at you). The politicians are stupid, and drunk on power — frankly I think they all need to go. But at the end of the day, I think that good people get up to try and make a difference and not hurt others. I think that the Ph.Ds and MDs who have researched these vaccines are in it for the right reasons and have done well. I can even believe that, while I disagree with their therapeutic judgments based on my own observations, even the ivermectin proponents are trying to do the right thing.

We must stop using everything as a cudgel, and make decisions based on good data, not crap, based on objective standards, not politics. And to be kind to one another. I admit when attacked, I give it back, and maybe I should not, but I think we can find reasonable ground — and I and grateful for you asking my thoughts.

Be well.

I will say that I like this gas_dr a lot better that the combative one seen in other places on FR.

I’m still not putting the experimental medical treatment they call a “vaccine” in my arm. On advice from my doctor due to legitimate medical concerns. He’s got me on a supplement and wellness regime to supercharge my immune system (NAC, Selenium, D3 ect, ect) and keep me healthy. It’s worked well. The only illness I’ve had in the last 18 months was a wicked head cold my little germ factory of a grand daughter passed on to the wife and myself. I’ve gone to work ever day (no lockdown/work from home for me), and have been around multiple people who tested positive during that time. Eventually, I will catch some version of the COOF. Everyone will, it’s endemic.

Eventually, as well, I will lose my job as the Biden admin has made it mandatory that all federal employees must have the jab. In turn, I will lose the homestead I’ve worked hard to build over the last 6 years; we have a mortgage. To get out in front of it all we have sold our homestead, purchased a new place with cash, and I have found a job where the Poke is not mandatory at this time. I am starting from scratch at age 55, and I’m pissed off. I’m pissed off at the politization of the COOF, and the destruction of integrity in the medical profession I see. I am pissed off at the loss of freedoms caused by it. In 18 months we’ve gone from “2 weeks to flatten the curve” to “papers, please”. I am pissed off that I feel the need to sell a piece of property I love and have put my heart in to, or else face losing it to foreclosure. From one end to the other, I am pissed off. I don’t see eye to eye with all you’ve said; I do genuinely appreciate your responses to my questions.

I pray you stay well and are able to bring some sense back to it all at, if not on the larger scale, then locally where you are. Take care.
