Why didn’t we withdraw all these military assets as part of the withdrawal plan?

Did someone drop the ball, not think this through, or how exactly was it decided to leave so much weaponry behind?

Because they were not in our possession. The assets were given to the Afghan National Army over the years to equip them. The Taliban captured them from the Afghans.

These "we left stuff behind" posts are getting old. It doesn't take much work to figure out what happened.
