China will take over Afghanistan, and the mineral resources, by backing one Taliban faction, who will exterminate the others.
America has become overly civilized. China will come into Afghanistan and kill everyone. No qualms no fear about what the world will say,if they have to kill every Afghani they will.
There’s enough bribery and slush funds going around for the truly big players (government, finance, business, etc.) to want that to happen.
