Doug...in a way this provides them more protection, since per the Agreement the Taliban leadership would ensure/escort all Americans safely to the airport.
They need to pick them up before their more radical troops find them.

I get the theory. But any agreement with the Taliban, who are Muslim, is pretty worthless. In their “religion” it is not a sin to lie to the infidels.

Yep. They could be tortured, burned alive, beheaded by ISIS-K live on TV, Tweet, Instagram, etc with email sent to known relatives.
Now they will only be shot by the Tallies - unless the Tallies are too busy looking the other way - like yeasterday.
