Abandoning Bagram air base before withdrawing American civilians and Afghan allies was a major tactical mistake, according to senior national security experts,

If our intent is to withdraw all of our forces from Afghanistan then how do we not abandon Bagram as part of that process?

We have had 1,000s of civilians, from DOD and contractors with DOD, to state dept, to contractors with state dept, to NATO and Afghan nationals employed with or working us and expected to “withdraw” with us also, and if your planning was correct then the troops would be withdrawn LAST so that they could protect all your other withdrawal plans. Bagram should have been the last mission we closed, not the first.
