The CDC has been scrambling the numbers intentionally since the beginning because that is how science work, right? Just wear your mask and take the vax, will give you new orders tomorrow. Oh, and Trump is bad.
I think they really believed the vax would work like a normal vax.
Case in point, we had a measles outbreak a few years ago. Every kid that had it, was vaccinated. It wasn’t reported because no one was that sick. I have paperwork stating my kid was exposed, knew three families that had it, and nothing was reported by the county.
Why? Two reasons.
First because the cases were so mild no one was in danger.
Second to keep the chiropractors from going nuts (we have a big Chiro school in town).
This is different. In my company we have a lot of vaxxed people getting sick, some in the ICU. In general, what I am seeing is if you had a confirmed case of covid, you are not getting it again. If you have a vax, you will get it, and it might be mild. If you are unvaxed, you will get it.
In other words, I think the CDC thought (without good reason) the vax would work like a meseales shot. Instead it is working like a flue shot.
