Great, and replace him with what?
He has no intention of quitting, but it’s not his decision. The power behind the democrat party will make the decision, and tell him when it’s time to retire.
The people who are really running the government, people like Susan Rice and Barack Obama, are relatively young and not suffering from dementia. They are fully in charge and relentless in their agenda. They remind me of the line from a classic Twilight Zone episode about young Anthony Fremont who with his diabolical mental powers ran his small town into the ground. “But when those eyes look at you, you’d better start thinking happy thoughts, because the mind behind them is absolutely in charge.”

I’m not so sure approval of a VP would be that easy. The Senate would be 50-50 with no tiebreaker, and that makes a huge difference in terms of passing legislation. I could see the GOP saying no, they won’t give the Dems that tiebreaking vote by confirming a VP. We’ve gone without VP’s before, for multiple years. Didn’t seem to be an issue.
Considering the circumstances, I think you could find enough GOPers willing to vote for whoever.
