Rittenhouse defense objects to efforts to get donor identities as state looks to bar donors from jury

Defense attorneys for Kyle Rittenhouse are objecting to a state request for identities of people who donated to Rittenhouse’s defense or who purchased branded merchandise supporting the teen.

Rittenhouse, now 18, is accused of killing two men and seriously injuring a third during the unrest following the police shooting of Jacob Blake in August 2020. He is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide and attempted first-degree intentional homicide in the Aug. 25, 2020, incident.

Using hat flawed logic you can come to the conclusion that it is reasonable and justifiable to ban welfare recipients from jury duty because they get income directly from the state and are therefor compromised and biased.

All of that would be an obligation of the jurors to reveal during voir dire, and the prosecution knows it. All they’re doing is trying to assemble a target list for retribution through leaks and doxxing.

I hope the prosecution gets what it wants....It sets the idea in stone for any other prosecutor to go after lib donors of all kinds...... It has to be both ways.....Can you imagine the libs going to the supreme court and saying these laws are only for dems..... Although the way things are going at SCOTUS?????

It IS the way our judicial system works and Satan has been patient embedding his minions all throughout the American fabric.

We are tattered, torn and disintegrating like battery acid leaked on our clothes.

The enemy knows it has more of theirs to choose from than we do and they know they can object or select to jurors presented.

Many years in the making (IMO, thanks to public school), the selection pool is vastly larger for the enemy than for us.

They will get the jury they want and fry Rittenhouse.

Several things come to mind with this request.

1. The court could require the list of donors be broken down by donors living in the area where jurors will be selected from and then the judge can screen the prospective jurors in camera. The judge could then privately question the prospective jurors about prejudice and remove them from the jury pool.

2. Voir dire would obviously be the best way to vet the potential jurors.

3. As we saw with the jury selection in Chauvin’s trial, having made an initial decision about guilt or innocence of the defendant can be overcome with attestation that the juror would be open minded.

Obviously the prosecutor wants the list so that it can be leaked to the media, BLM and Antifa. They want to dry up his defense fund going forward.

This is incredible. This prosecutor needs to be disbarred.
