WASHINGTON (AP) — Two members of Congress flew unannounced into Kabul airport in the middle of the ongoing chaotic evacuation Tuesday, stunning State Department and U.S. military personnel who had to divert resources to provide security and information to the lawmakers, U.S. officials said. Rep. Seth Moulton, D-Mass., and Rep. Peter Meijer, R-Mich., flew in and out on charter aircraft and were on the ground at the Kabul airport for several hours. That led officials to complain that they could be taking seats that would have otherwise gone to other Americans or Afghans fleeing the country, but the congressmen said in a joint statement that they made sure to leave on a flight with empty seats.

Given the fact that the IMF and CornPop ordered that Afghanistan’s assets be frozen, how long is it going to take the Taliban to realize that they have 1000s of bargaining chips in the form of living US citizens?

Mind you, neither CornPop nor anyone else, President Trump even, cannot order any military response as it will mean that ALL the American’s and foreign nationals left behind are going to be slaughtered and no one will bomb a civilian population center.
As to why the Brits and French are being allowed to go into the city to get their folks, simple, the Taliban is letting them. They’re not letting the US move.
They know that the US citizens left behind are going to become extremely valuable. As the guy that was in the White House before President Trump showed, the Democrats are more than willing to pay a ransom. Soetero gave $1.7 billion for some sailors that somehow got caught. No telling what the Afghani’s will get for thousands of civilians.
Think about something for a moment. There was an article I saw earlier today about an American that got out. What was he doing in Afghanistan? Was he building power plants? Was he teaching english or math? Was he a doctor or dentist? NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. and NOPE. He ran a dog rescue out of Kabul to get the dogs of Afghanistan out of the country to folks willing to adopt them. THAT IS ONE AMERICAN WHOSE LIFE I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT. But you know what? Some liberal dipsh*t in the State Dept went along with his fantasy, got him a VISA and permit to work there. What a dumba$$. But, if he isn’t already, he’ll soon be on a patio or at backyard bbq telling all his liberal, hipster friends about his harrowing experience.
If they’d only brought Kinzinger.

American’s are stuck in the city and can’t get to the airport. So, who fills up the planes? Afghani’s? F*ck them.
I dealt with her on a trip to Baghdad. Was kind of big deal when Congress flew over.
Without knowing names or parties, you knew what party they belonged to as soon as they got off the planes. Republican’s would approach you like it was a campaign event. Of all the Democrats I dealt with 3 were friendly. Lynch, Bobby Bright-who was awesome. Can’t remember the 3rd guy. Other then those 3, they wouldn’t even look you in the eye.
Anywho, we had the itinerary, meet the troops, go to hospital, lunch with the troops, meeting with Ambassador, leave. Nope. No meetings or lunch with troops. Stood in foyer of Baghdad CASH. Meet with some Iraqi officials and then back to the airport. Total time in country, maybe 6 hours.
Who picked up the tab on their charter
Moulton and Meiijer flew to the UAE and hopped on a military jet into Kabul airport........
Normally would be a gigantor NO NO, but I’m betting the Airman/woman working at the desk got the...Do You Know Who I Am? Where’s your NCOIC?
On a side note, has Moulton’s history with the Corps ever been verified? Vindman was a Lt Col in the Infantry, just sayin’.
