My wife and I just moved from Las Vegas to Ocean Shores in Grays Harbor County to be nearer our son and grandchildren in Tacoma. It seems to be a somewhat conservative county. I’ve seen these in use in China. They were called something like “proximity monitors” and they ensured no two employees came ‘too close’ to one another. Don’t want citizens speaking privately to one another, now do we?

This is like Australia, where the public is limited to 5 kilometers (or less) from their home, they can only ‘exercise’ with one other person, and they are instructed not to speak to their neighbors.

Tough call. I’ve know several parents that wish they could have put tracking monitors on their teens, especially the kind that could identify with whom the teen met.
