Friend of mine got vaccinated back in June; his paperwork clearly says ‘Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine’. So not sure what this is about.

That's the unlicensed stuff. The government can't mandate the EUA stuff because there's no liability attached to it. They want to get as many as possible jabbed with the EUA vaccine. Once the license is attached, the name changes and liability is attached. I'd wait for the licensed stuff. If you die from it, at least your family will be able to sue.
