I wonder how you obtain the type of information in this story...

I’m not doubting the story but it’s a massive amount of data that I was not aware is publicly available....

For example cell phone ping data, how is that publicly available ?? Unless they had sources within law enforcement helping them, but you would think a warrant would be needed to collect that type of information.

There must be public databases. They wouldn’t do this if they can’t publicly refer to the data, let alone use illegal data.

I’ve seen limited applications but this is the broadest application drilling down and it’s an incredible piece of work.

It is very difficult to dispute.

The information is collected for commercial and government purposes and is authorized in the fine print of cell phone contracts and smartphone apps.
