We left in secret like thieves in the night, so it’s hard to imagine how we snuck our equipment out.

I have heard that some aircraft left behind at Bagram were “disabled,” but that is just a rumor.

I can’t even imagine 984 C-17’s....someone had to hit the wrong key....I would question whether or not we even HAVE 984 C-17’s. I have no knowledge of what our inventory is but that is an awful lot!! The list given and reported on for what was left behind has 4 C-130’s on it...those certainly COULD have been used. I just don’t know but that puts me in the same box with the idiots in DC..who hem and haw their way through press briefings.

I have a friend retired AF who flew transport (won’t say the model because I’m not sure) and I will ask him what he thinks of that number 984...he flew for the reserves out of the old March AFB after active duty..

Just caught some of the Pentagon briefing - good grief. Isn’t there a better spokesperson they could find than Kirby? He was bad years ago and he hasn’t improved - really is much worse..

The Army uniformed guy beside him - don’t know who he is - said something about “getting equipment and people out” - talking about Kandahar... What on earth equipment could he mean?

The deadline is going to be met and the Taliban is going to help with securing the airport and with evacuation. And I guess they’ll sell the US some beautiful resort property high in the mountains at the same time..since they don’t have a bridge in Brooklyn....
