Kamala Harris discussed Christmas shopping and climate change but failed to mention the current crisis in Afghanistan during her major foreign policy speech on Monday. Addressing a round table of business leaders before her speech she warned climate change and the pandemic have contributed to supply chain issues suggesting parents consider getting Christmas presents now. 'The stories we are hearing about caution, that if you want to have Christmas toys for your children, now might be the time to start buying because the delay may be many, many months. Across the board people are experiencing issues, and of course the climate crisis is fueling a lot of this. When we look at the stronger typhoons that have disrupted shipping lanes and sea level rise which threatens port infrastructure as an example, these are the issues that are that are causing these disruptions.'
Harris, who kicked off her week-long Asia tour on Sunday, also delivered sharp rebuke to China for its incursions in the South China Sea warning its actions there amount to coercion and intimidation affirming the U.S. will support its allies in the region against Beijing's advances. But she once again dodged the most weighty issue: Afghanistan. She's been criticized in the U.S. for her silence leaving remarks to figures such as National Security Adviser, Sullivan, Defense Secretary, Austin, and Joe Biden himself. Harris also remained quiet on comments made by Adam Schiff who claims President Biden is unlikely to meet his August 31 deadline to evacuate US citizens and their allies from Afghanistan. He said a full evacuation was possible but very unlikely. Despite not mentioning the chaos in Kabul during her address Harris was praised by Biden during a visit by the WNBA - during which he joked he may need a job soon.

Yes, we are. Many of us still place ourselves under God’s control and protection. He will keep us as it’s His will to do so regardless what happens to this country. Doesn’t mean it won’t be scary :(

My wife had a friend who was close to one of the Seattle Supersonics star players. She got us tickets to a game where we were four rows up at center court in the Key Arena. I remember sitting down with my wife and looking at the cop on the court standing at attention in his smartly pressed uniform and I said to her, “You could place ten rows of guys like him there on the court floor and they would make, as a group, less money than one of the major players on this team.
We watched the game and were bored silly. We didn’t want to be rude, though, and stayed to the end of the first quarter. We had a nice Thai meal at our favorite Thai restaurant a couple blocks north of the Key arena and spent the day doing stuff we wanted to do.
And that is the key. I love sports, but as an activity, not something to watch. The exception is things like riding our motorcycle through Quincy on a warm day and stopping to watch a local little league game. That was very enjoyable. And the game is only part of it. Watching the families and the kids and the simple exposing of local culture was satisfying.

While we are all rightly concerned about our stranded American citizens, these abandoned weapons will plague us for many years to come, to the delight of our enemies.
The Russians, Iranians and Chinese will help the Taliban to maintain and utilize these systems; their price will be a few of the best hand-selected versions of each system listed, for study and reverse-engineering.
If handing these weapon systems and technology to our enemies is not treasonous, what is?

He could say something that dumb knowing the conditions women STRANDED in Afghanistan are facing? Even when he HAD a brain to engage before speaking, he didn’t make any sense!
That’s because he was always twisted and evil at heart. Now with the onset of dementia the real self will begin to show at the most inopportune times...hence why he’s not allowed out on his own much.

Can anyone tell us just WHAT did get taken out of Bagram if all this was left behind? I’ve read that 984 C-17’s took material and equipment out. That doesn’t seem possible. I think I read somewhere that NO heavy armaments were left behind. We’re at a point where there is absolutely nothing that is believable coming out of DC. No one is mentioning reports of the tons of US cash left behind..
I want to know WHO was in charge dismantling the base - the logistics - the failure to give the order to DESTROY every piece of equipment - no matter how large or how small. The person in charge could have ignored orders and simply had a problem with the transmission of his orders and understood them to say DESTROY EVERYTHING.
