Tightly wrap your phone in aluminum foil when you are not using it. It denies your phone the ability to geolocate, and also minimizes the government’s ability to turn on the camera and microphone of your cell phone, without your knowledge. Even if your phone is powered down, the government has created the ability to use your camera and microphone, while your phone appears to be turned off. Also, if you think you can drain your battery, and deny them this capability, it should be understood that when your phone tells you it’s out of juice, there is a “reserve” capacity of your battery, reserved for the purpose of using it as a surveillance device.
