President Biden’s job approval has flipped for the first time in his presidency amid the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, with more Americans now disapproving of his performance in office than supporting it, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average.
The measure, which combines the results of recent national surveys, pegged Biden at 48.6 percent disapproval — nearly a full percentage point greater than the 47.8 percent of Americans who said they still approve of his performance.
The negative polling average included this week’s Reuters/Ipsos survey, which saw Biden’s approval rating plunge by 7 points in the wake of the swift Taliban takeover.
Biden, who enjoyed a 20-point approval edge in the early days of his presidency, has seen that level of support slowly erode.
Biden stumbled repeatedly Friday as he took his first questions from reporters on the Afghanistan crisis.

Funny, that was my estimate also. I guessed that because half of the public has an IQ below 100. The percentage below 70, borderline retarded, are often solid supporters of whatever the current story is. The fact the story changes and is often 180 out from what it was last week never raises their suspicions. Now, not all liberals are this stupid. As a friend once said of something we were discussing, “Now that’s so stupid you’d have to be a college professor to believe it.” A lot of politically stupid people are very smart, doctors even, but they believe that since they know a lot in one area they are equally competent in all other areas.
He was always artificially propped up by the press. Scumbags. If they are showing him at 47% approval, bet on it 5% lower than that.
The true lesson of these polls is that it’s not Biden who is the greatest danger to the nation, it is the number of people who still support him and his “performance.”
