I am not keeping my DL because the next one will be Real ID. I will drive without it, accumulating tickets as I go if I am stopped. They won’t be able to give me a “driving while suspended” though. My DL is for driving, not for a federal ID card.

They won’t let your high horse go to jail with you after you are arrested for unlicensed driving.
Real ID just requires more documentation and security measures. Not sure why you wouldn’t support that
