The sanctions "include a restriction on the permanent importation of firearms or ammunition manufactured or located in Russia pursuant to new or pending permit applications"
WASHINGTON, August 20. /TASS/. The United States has slapped Russia with a second round of sanctions over the incident with blogger Alexey Navalny, restricting imports of firearms and ammunition from Russia as well as exports of nuclear and missile-related technology to that country, says a statement released by Spokesperson for the US Department of State Ned Price on Friday.
It says that a second round of sanctions is imposed on Russia by the US Department of State under the Chemical and Biological Weapons Control and Warfare Elimination Act (CBW Act).
The sanctions "include a restriction on the permanent importation of firearms or ammunition manufactured or located in Russia pursuant to new or pending permit applications," it says.

There goes the Tula ammo.
Prices going back up.
What? No CWC and MTCR exports? Don’t worry, it will make its way to Russia via Chinese front companies.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of buyers for Russia’s munitions.
But stopping small arms and ammo into the USA is just stupid.
But, we knew it was coming. They'll (RATs) do whatever they can to make our hobby more challenging.

No, only as long as you live in a country controlled by communists. There are a whole lot of states and people here who don’t want to do that.
The increases will spill over into all ammo.
There’s still time to stock up. ASAP.
“Hello, taliban? How much you want for a couple of those Blackhawks and a side order of electronics from the US embassy?”
But its ok to give Blackhwks to tallibunnies.
Anyone who ever gave that info to our enemies should be in Leavenworth solitary.
That being said, Russia shouldn’t be our enemy. The idiots at Foggy Bottom want to keep their jobs, though.
Example? Most of what we think of as non-Russian is rebranded Tula and Wolf.
7.62 is still 32-40 cents per round. Where is the price double you are talking about?
Was .25 cents this morning. All the sites I see are .49 cents plus. Where are you seeing less?
Laughable sanction on Russian imports when Tallyjoe allowed the Nordstream oil to enrich Russia.
We’ve been expecting this for a while. Russia is a significant source of ammo at a time when ammo is already desperately short. This is aimed as much at American gun owners as it is the Russians.
There may be some positive (if unintended) consequences, to this latest D@mocrat ammo ban. As the 1994 congressional election showed, gun owners can win ANY election, IF we show up at the polls. Unfortunately, getting gun owners to support & actually vote for pro-gun candidates is like herding cats; too many sit on their @sses and do nothing but gripe, or even vote D@mocrat.
Ammo prices had been coming down in recent weeks, and availability had definitely improved. This pointless ban on Russian ammo imports is likely to keep prices high right through - guess what? - the 2022 election. I'm guessing that a lot of the "b!tch & moan zombies" who wouldn't donate $5 to a pro-gun candidate in 2020, or even vote, may be sufficiently pissed off to do something positive in 2022...
Maybe the Taliban will sell us some US ammo s/
