Ilhan Omar responded to right-wing figures Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham pushing back against the US accepting Afghan refugees fleeing the Taliban.
Omar came to the U.S. as a refugee after her family fled Somalia and lived in a refugee camp for four years, so her views differ greatly from those of Carlson and Ingraham.
“It is not surprising, right?” Omar said. "This is their playbook. They know how to whip up their base into frenzy. You have the man who led us into this war, President Bush, say we should allow for Afghani refugees. And then you've got these crazy people on the right doing what they always do with their fear mongering and their hateful rhetoric.”
Ingraham has taken the angle of questioning whether or not the U.S. will be able to properly vet the refugees. But as someone who is familiar with the process, Omar is not concerned.
“We’ve done this many a times where we have evacuated people, airlifted them into safe spaces so that we can properly vet them and have them come to the United States as vetted refugees. I know a little bit about that, you know?” Omar said. “I know what it's like to be a child in a family scrambling for safety in a war-torn country. I know the rigorous process you go through to get vetted as a refugee. We are the most vetted people who come to the United States. The process is long, and it doesn't just end when you arrive on the shores. It continues for years until you are eligible for citizenship at five years of entrance.”

Omar is the enemy within. Sadly, that means a significant portion of Minnesota is the enemy.
I can bang away at the keyboard, making these observations, but one day soon, the shtf. When things come apart, it’s important to know who is the enemy.
The acceptance of refugees worked so well with Somalia, what could possibly go wrong? < /sarcasm >
How many countries are there in the world? Why do the refugees always have to come here??
Why doesn’t the UN recommend refugees be airlifted to Mexico, or Brazil, or Colombia, or Nigeria, or Egypt, or UAE, or Saudi Arabia, or Canada, or Thailand, or China, or Russia??

She said the US doesn’t want these refugees because they are all more successful than Americans and people are just jealous.
Yesterday 2000 people were flown out of Afghanistan by the US military, only 325 were Americans. The WH says now says we have 15,000 Americans in Afghanistan wanting out. Americans should come out first, then the others!!
Did Omar talk about her wedding night with her brother?
And Tucker said that this is exactly how you would respond: with racism charges.
Omar is one of the best arguments why not to allow refugees by the thousands into this country.
In a bizarre news item this morning, I read that the man who proved with DNA that Omar definitely married her brother to commit immigration fraud has been arrested by the MN FBI. So the FBI is now the U.S. Stasi for the "elite" (and I would term her as "elite" as a piece of dog droppings).
It certainly is racist to be concerned for your nation when importing endless millions of unvetted and culturally hostile people into its core. I mean, who would not actually demand for it to happen. It makes us so much stronger. History proves it.
Omar is the perfect example of why we shouldn’t accept refugees. Interpreters and their immediate families are one thing, general population should not be accepted.
Ilhan Omar doesn’t understand - in a free country we all have freedom of speech - NOT just ‘elites’ like George Bush. His say as a private citizen is the same as any other private citizen - no more - no less.
And Tucker’s ‘base’ worked into a frenzy? Tucker’s base is the people who have lived here for a long time - the people who built and defended this country for generations...

No Afghan Savages are wanted in Fellow Muslim countries .
These are Savages that have destroyed Europe .
They socialize in Rape , Robbing , and Rioting .

Amazes me that Omar could have time to get in a few words slashing at us when she must be really busy giving speeches denouncing the Taliban’s abhorrent treatment of women. Stoned to death, raped, young girls made into forced prostitutes, beaten for trying to drive a car or do something like go to college without a male chaperone allowing it.
What? She and the rest of the Squad never denounced them at all? Not a word?
Must be HYPOCRITES.
Ilhan Omar should talk she married he brother to get into the country she is an illegal.
Because the military age males, I won’t call them men, who abandoned their women and kids to the Taliban will make dandy citizens, won’t they, Omar...
