Not true. Approx. 8 mlns of military deaths including those 4 mlns whose Nazis starved in their camps. Others are civilian deaths in the Nazi occupation.
And consider that with Germans the whole EU came to Soviet Union. So in Russia it is considered as the first war with Hitler Eurounion.
Same Britain and France just year before it in 1938 gave Hitler the whole country Czechoslovakia. And Poland allied with Hitler to occupy Teshin region.
So seeing this Stalin didn’t trust Britain-France until they will define themselves by action.
